Your website wants you to listen to this interview

Did you have a good Thanksgiving?

I did.

In case you're wondering, no — we don't actually celebrate Thanksgiving in New Zealand. But I have several American friends, and of course lots of American clients. So my family has adopted the tradition .

As with all traditions involving good food, we like it very much.

This year we went away over the Thanksgiving weekend, which is why you haven't heard from me in a little while (yes, I really do write most of these emails on the day you receive them). We had a very pleasant holiday in Auckland — a city I generally despise for its awful traffic, but which does have things like crocodile farms and aquariums and mangroves in which one can kayak; features notably lacking from Hamilton, where I live.

Before I went away, however, I got on the phone for about 45 minutes with Steve Gordon of the Small Business Marketing Show, to talk about principles and techniques for turning more of your website's visitors into leads (using web design), and more of those leads into clients (using email marketing).

If you would like to turn more visitors into leads, or more leads into customers (or both), then you might enjoy the interview, which Steve whimsically titled Underground New Zealand Web Expert Answers the Question “How to Promote My Website to Generate Leads?”

You can listen to it here — there's no charge:

Or, if iTunes is more convenient for you, grab it here (along with any other episode of the Small Business Marketing Show you'd like):

Btw, you may have noticed that while I've adopted the tradition of Thanksgiving, I haven't adopted its tacky tradition of "sales days" — Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I'll have more to say about that tomorrow :)

Talk then,
